Folios: 16 lines nasta`liq (21.3x12cm) in black with highlighted words in blue or gold, within ruled frames (23x13.8cm) of orange, light green, gold, red and blue;
Binding: contemporary dark brown leather with gilded central panel of gold filigree medallion and cornerpieces, framed by two rows of cartouches of stamped gold cloud and floral scrolls, and gold filigree; black doublures are painted with a forest-scene filled with hunting horsemen, hounds, falcons, deer, ducks, and a lone musician on the cornerflap (attributed `Abdullah Shirazi; A.Welch 1978 (4) p.78).

Across the garden on the left, servants bring further trays of food and more guests arrive, while a row of grooms wait with horses beyond the horizon.
