Physical description :
147 folios, paginated 1-287, 230 x 180 (W 180 x 135), 17-24 lines in two columns. Non calligraphic script, black ink with caprions in red, blue and yellow. No binding, loose quires. Colophon on p. 287, copied by Musa ibn al-Tayyib al-Ilghi al-Hisni, dated Rajab 1356 (novembre-décembre 1937).
Scope content :
Contents : 'Ali ibn Ahmad ad-Darqawi al-Ilghi, Tafukt n Ddin, this is the Berber translation in verse of a text on the ritual obligations entitled al-Majmu' al-mukhtar min Khalil, by Ahmad ibn 'Abdalqadir ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Amir al-Maliki (d. 1232/1816-7). The translation contains more than ten thousand lines and was complted in 1316 (1898-9). According to a note added to the ms. this copy was presented to A. Roux as a gift by Muhammad, the son of the Author, in 1937. [on al-Amir, cf. Brockelmann S II 99.]
