Scope content :
About 4,000 hand-written Arabic manuscripts and Qur'ans dating from the ninth to thirteenth centuries are currently housed in the al-Aqsa Mosque Library and the Islamic Museum in Jerusalem's al-Haram al-Sharif. Another 3,000 manuscripts have been located elsewhere in Palestine, in private or family libraries in Nablus, Hebron, Jaffa and Akka. The collections include documents of significant historical importance to Arab and Islamic civilization in Jerusalem.
