1 volume, on paper, 400 folios, It has 65 illustrations. It carries the seal of " Ghulam Ali Sahib Bahadur Kitab Khana Sarkar Wala", i.e. the library of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, with the date 1244 Hijra (1828 AD) : testimony rare in this moment i of the kind of illustrated manuscripts which were in the Lahore fort during Maharaja Ranjit's reign.
Scope content :
This splendid Shahnama of Firdausi was copied in 1069 Hijra (1653 AD) for Shah Jahan by the scribe Tawakal Beg.

The presence of that manuscript in the Royal Library explains the copying and illustration of a splendid Shahanama done at Lahore in c. 1830 and also some of the classical influence we have already noticed in the paintings of imam Bakhsh Lahori.
