Biography :
This photograph was taken from a slighly different view to that chosen by Bourne, enabling the photographer to focus on the tomb of Ranjit Singh and include a number of carts positionned in the courtyard, giving a sense of activity rereley seen in early photographs. The fuzziness surrounding the carts would probably have been caused by poeple or livestock moving around well.
